Anxiously awaiting this photo-shoot, I drove to Pueblo for a dear friend to shoot a maternity session. Our first location fell though so we took a walk hoping to find inspiration. It didn’t take long. I saw this small cottage only a few steps away and decided to place her among the ruins. It was totally abandoned. And we could both feel the stories this house held inside. As if it were possible, her belly looked even more lovely next to the unkept, overgrown vines that surrounded us. She blossomed that day and was the most radiant mother-to-be I think I’ve ever seen. Every time I look at these images, I feel like titling this session. So I will.
In Bloom.
