Artifact Uprising–the best new find. Happy Mother’s Day to me.

Last fall, I came across a company on Instagram that blew me away. With only a glimpse into their business, I was already in love with everything they sold. And all they represented. Immediately, I was obsessed with their branding, their products, and, ultimately, their message. If you haven’t already heard about this sweet company, who resides pretty much in my backyard, visit their site!  Owning a tree nursery makes me feel amazing. It’s like a way for me to focus on being green ALL THE TIME. Earlier this year, I announced our little endeavor to get greener by repurposing beetle-kill and old wood on our Etsy shop. But Artifact Uprising is doing this as well and they’re downright awesome at it—repurposing  fallen wood, using recycled paper, and minimizing their impact on the outdoors:

LOVE! Two days ago, I opened my mail and squealed when I saw their name plastered on a brown delivery box. I had ordered two small gifts from the iPhone shots I’ve taken of Eli–one for both Grandmas. But then I smiled a bit bigger. Because I bought the following for myself. Mother’s Day is on Sunday. I’m just celebrating early. 😉

The bluish markings on the calendar is beetle-kill. The original tree died in our Colorado forests, but now it has purpose in my home. Seriously, who doesn’t love that?!

Lionsgate Wedding: Zack + Dominique

Words seem to escape me today. And that, as most know, is rare…

But I want you to know how overwhelmingly grateful I am for letting me document such an amazing celebration of your love.  Ever ounce of joy was evident, every bit of love, out poured.  And it is so beyond clear to me that your future together is bright beyond imagine. I can hardly wait to see where life takes you. But may you never forget the moments you shared here: the beginning of your journey–surrounded by all your family, your friends, and those you love. I’m honored to have witnessed such a union.

Here’s to life worth-living, love worth sharing, blessings beyond measure, and laughter that echoes the rooms.

Love to both of you, Shannon

Again, Congratulations! Wishing you joy, success, & tremendous amount of love as you embark on your new life together.

This is only the beginning!

Family Session: Baby Callum

We have snow all over the ground again. For the 27th time this spring, it snowed a blizzard. But the sun did manage to peek around the clouds the day I got to shoot this little buddy. Sweet Callum, I’m giving you (and that gorgeous dimple on your cheek) credit for bringing out the shine in an otherwise foggy-looking sun. Even when you had tears, I swear the world was still happy. 😉
