Bohemian Styled Bridals

Three months of planning. One and a half months of reschedules due to snow. And two months post shoot. But I’m done!!!

My biggest labor of love yet and I’m elated to finally share it!

Collaborating with some of the finest wedding/fashion vendors in Colorado made this shoot a dream and SO much fun! I loved every single minute…even the few moments when the whole thing was almost canceled mid-shoot. I am not even exaggerating when I say that black clouds formed and tornado-like winds blew through our set just minutes after my first few images. We decided to wait it out and just shy of two hours later, we set everything back up, sans a few glass terrariums, and chased what was left of the sunlight. I’ve never shot so fast. 😉

But on a serious note, those of you who helped me organize this are true professionals. And true friends—I have so much love for all of you and can’t thank you enough for helping bring this vision together! One last thing: A small shout-out to my amazing father. Not only did he make the gorgeous wooden rings featured in this shoot, but he hand-built me a tepee (and then moved it twice!) just for this session. I have the greatest friends, yes…but I have the best father a girl could as for!

I’ve known Nicole for almost a decade, but I couldn’t be more honored or humbled to have shot pictures of her before she embarks on becoming a mother. Now that I’ve experienced it first hand, there is nothing better. Nothing more real, and nothing more fulfilling.

Happy Father’s Day, my Love

I don’t want to get overly sappy or drag on about how perfect you really are. But that’s hard. So I will only speak to this: I have been blessed, truly blessed beyond measure, to have had you in my life. To have had you as a husband, a partner, a best friend…I thought there was nothing greater. But as I’ve watched you raise our son and be SO intimately involved, my cup runneth over! You are the father I’ve only seen in movies. A type so rare, it’s hard to believe you are my reality. You are Eli’s reality. And we will never understand how we became so worthy. I had an amazing father growing up, but you, love, you have exceeded my greatest dreams for not only me, but our first child.

I thought I’d pull a few pictures from this last year and a half of your first go with Fatherhood. With thousands to sort through I, seriously, only selected a smattering. To me, these moments depict your love better than any words I could ever string together and better than any of them could ever really describe.

With all my heart I adore you. Cherish you and love you.
